This superb example of the Nikon Ai Nikkor 55mm f/1.2 lens dates to late 1977.

It is the final version of the 55mm f/1.2 line; it had a brief run before production ceased in April, 1978 when the Ai 50mm f/1.2 lens was released.

Glass elements are clear with a some tiny dust particles but no fungus, haze, separation, scratches or cleaning marks.

Diaphragm blades are clean, dry and snappy; no wear on the blades.

Focusing action is smooth, buttery and precise, not dry and slick like many from this era.

Aperture ring turns easily with crisp, metallic clicks.

Lens comes with original Nikon front cap, and modern Nikon rear cap and Hoya filter.
