This Contemporary Impressionist painting captures a timeless scene in the South of France and northern Italy. Created in plein air and contrasting the many shades of lavender and blue with splashes of red and golds, this beautiful painting features the bold colors and textures of the Venezuelan/American artist Maria Bertran.   The artist splits her time between Provence and Laguna Beach in California, working entirely on location and from life to create impressive depth and authenticity in her work. She obtained her BFA from Washington University in St. Louis, and has her work in collections on six continents.
