  • The image area of the map measures 16.5 x 12.5 cm [6¼" x 5"] on a larger sheet, and it was published in the October 1, 1841 issue of The Sporting Review, J. Mitchell, 33 Old Bond Street, London.


  • The coverage area includes part of Leicestershire and Northamptonshire in England's East Midlands region, and it shows roads, railway, canals, and villages.


  • The letter "X" is used to locate the starting places for the fox hunting meets, with numbers showing their distance in miles from Northampton.


  • The map was engraved by William Hughes, and the distance scale is measured in English miles.
