This beautiful vintage German porcelain dinnerware is marked Royal Tettau, Germany U.S. Zone, which puts it between 1945 and the early to mid 1950s. Each pure white piece is decorated with a single pink rose with its greenery; the pattern is called "Sterling Rose" and usually is listed at pattern number 916. The pieces feature gracefully swirled and scalloped rims and lavish silver banding. The simplicity of the pattern makes it very desirable for mixing with other white and silver patterns.

The cup and saucer set appears either never used or just very carefully used and stored; I can find no chips, cracks, crazing, etc. The saucer is 6 1/8" across; the cup is 2 1/2" tall and about 4" across at the rim. This is the "thin pedestal" version.
