Unbelievable composition of an African woman carrying a basket on her head.

This beautiful and delicate design is made entirely of butterfly wings.  Gorgeous natural colors.  One of a kind.

Unsigned but I believe the artist may be Paul Caparatta of New York.

This technique uses naturally shed butterfly wings so no butterflies were harmed.

Outside dimensions approximately 12" x 5 3/8".  Sturdy wood frame almost an inch thick.  Sawtooth hanger.  Acrylic front and wood backing seals and preserves this fragile medium.

Very good condition.  There are a few smudges and faint dings under the glass.  Looks like they got there when the artist made the picture.  It might be risky to take this a part to try to clean, so I didn't.
