Sevres Plate Jean Chauvaux Painted Birds and Insects Gilded Rim Antique 1754 

This is an undamaged 264 year old plate from the Manufacture Royale Vincennes location, prior to their relocation to Sevres. It was hand painted by Jean Chauvaux the elder, a first class decorator for the legendary porcelainerie. This plate is in excellent condition with but one tiny bit of glaze missing, about an 16th of an inch diameter, no chips, cracks or repairs, it measures about 9 5/8" in diameter and the gold on the rim is intact.
