The figurines are made out of metal and hand painted. All but the castles have a lead stand attached to the figurine to stabilize. There is a hand cut piece of felt on the bottom of the stand.

THE PROCESS USED TO MAKE THE HAND ASSEMBLED/PAINTED FIGURINES
The raw metal parts for the figurine was cleaned of any flash and burnished with a toothbrush and Lava soap paste. The parts were carefully assembled and then a slab of lead was attached as stabilization stand to the figurine, which was trimmed to shape and roughened to represent grass and/or rocks.

The color schemes used was chosen from numerous color illustrations in a French written reference book about medieval dress and weapons of the 14th century. The figurines were given a spray undercoat of light gray flat paint specified for metal figures.  When dry, the figure was hand painted, using various colors of Humbrol flat paint. Using authentic colors with finishes distinguishable to the 14th Century.
