These pistons are Standard Size. That means they are designed to fit in your factory cylinder. Standard Size pistons are only appropriate if it is confirmed by a machine shop that your factory cylinder wall will not require machining. The majority of the time, when an engine is being rebuilt after a failure, the machine shop must bore the cylinder hole bigger to remove surface irregularities from the cylinder wall. This process requires the use an over sized piston afterwards to make up for the material removed from the cylinder wall. If your cylinder wall does not require any machining, then standard sized pistons are designed to drop in with a simple hone.
