This non-sport unicorn just galloped out of my basement cabinets this morning! It was a stack of unused NM/M red and yellow Doctor Dolittle Tattoo wrappers from Topps in 1967. This set has never been catalogued beyond the two different wrapper variations. Like many of the earliest tattoo sets, even the exact # for the complete set is unknown. Most that ARE known are multiples of eight - 16,24,32,48,etc. I was able to put together 24 different tattoos - 10 on red backs and 14 on yellow backs with one tattoo having both variations. I have no way of knowing if this is a complete set but, of note, I was unable to find any images from this set on the internet that weren't in this group. That said, you're welcome to 'em! They're not making any more.
