Adhesive
If you peel off the yellow backing paper there is a ring of adhesive on the 3M ring.
You then put your lens onto this adhesive, then peel off the ring, this will then have left the ring of adhesive attached to your lens,
which you then fit to your phone.
There is a picture of the ring of adhesive on picture 4.
So the yellow backing paper and gasket type ring both end up in the bin
