Charming vintage 1933 marked Black Forest style hand carved wood 20 3/4” wide tray or wall plaque, Brittany style figures with fishing boat marked “LUNE”! The figures definitely dressed in the Brittany style so it’s likely a French or Dutch piece though who can be certain. “Lune” translates from French to “Moon” so that’s a clue :). It definitely fits in with Black Forest carvings and would make a lovely bread or pastry serving tray though it actually should be hung on the wall as the decorative plaque it is. Good to very good condition. The tray has a slight lengthwise bend or warp, giving it a bit of a convex shape. There is also an old age or drying split in the upper left corner and on the right side from about the middle but neither extends all the way through to the back of the wood panel. Insurance has been eliminated as an option by ebay, forcing us sellers to either ship your items without insurance or assume that expense also. We always insure our items BUT, more importantly, pack them extremely well knowing that most are not replaceable. Our shipping days are Tuesday and Friday, paid items will be shipped on the first shipping day after payment is received (except when special circumstances exist). We prefer to use USPS whenever possible, and require all packages to be insured. If you prefer another method of shipment, please mention it. We charge only actual expense of shipment/insurance, except in the case of larger items which must have special wood crates built. Wood crate charge, when applicable, is a flat $35.00 in addition to actual postage & insurance charges.

If you are within CA and are a dealer buying for resale, you must provide us your active resale certificate # and acknowledgment of intent to resell or we will have to collect sales tax.
