The "Elite" jacket has the same tough 400 Denier Nylon outer shell as the rest of the top snowmobile suits in the Arctic Wear lineup, with warm Dacron 88® Polyester insulation to keep you toasty warm. The Elite jacket has a full two-way front zipper that zips all the way to the top of the Orlon lined stand-up collar to form a turtleneck, or turn it down or wear it open and turned down. There is a wind flap behind the front zipper. There are two zippered slash side pockets, and an inside chest patch pocket. Stylish hotdog quilting bordered by contrasting white piping. Black embroidered "Cat Head" on the left arm. Recessed knit cuffs. The Orlon collar and knit cuffs are in great condition with little or no pilling. See measurements for proper fit.

Great looking 1978 men's "Elite" insulated snowmobiling jacket. The Elite jackets were paired up with the Arctic Wear vest top snowpants. The "Elite" jacket has the same tough 400 Denier Nylon outer shell as the rest of the top snowmobile suits in the Arctic Wear lineup, and the same warm Dacron® 88 Polyester insulation to keep you toasty warm.

The top of the shoulders and the sides have stylish hotdog quilting bordered by contrasting white piping. The black embroidered "Cat Head" on the left arm is in great shape. The sleeves have recessed knit cuffs both for style and to keep the cold out. The Orlon collar and knit cuffs are in great condition with little or no pilling. Both the Elite and VIP jackets had an exclusive elasticized inside belt with a T-clasp buckle.
You will find some very faint dirt stains in spots and minimal very light superficial scratches and small abrasions. The jacket was given a gentle cold water wash to freshen it up. A warm water wash may have removed the faint dirt shadowing. It is hard to detect except with close inspection.
This jacket is in great condition with the exception of a few noted minor flaws and is ready to wear to your favorite vintage snowmobile event or meet.
This is a vintage men's medium. Arctic Wear clothing underwent a resizing in 1977, slightly bigger. Please use the measurements below and compare to something similar you know fits well for a proper fit.

Dry clean or Machine wash separately, warm or cold water, gentle cycle. Tumble dry low heat, damp dry, remove promptly and hang away from heat or sun to complete. Agitator washing machines are not recommended for any delicate or vintage article of clothing.
