THIS SUIT SHOUTS OUT QUALITY.
Here are the measurements for the jacket:
Top to Tail (back of neck to bottom, inc collar) - 30 inches
Shoulder to shoulder across back - 20 inches
Shoulder to cuff - 23.5 inches
Armpit to cuff - 16.5 inches
Chest (measured flat on outside) - 23 inches
Suggested size - 44 inches
Please read the measurements to check if it will fit you, but we think it will fit a chest size of around 42-44 inches.
The trousers measure -
WAIST: 38 inches
INSIDE LEG: 28 inches.
THIS IS A TIMELESS CLASSIC BESPOKE TAILORED MADE TO MEASURE AUTHENTIC 1950's VINTAGE SUIT.
The jacket is fastened by 2 buttons.
There are 2 pockets at the front as well as a left breast pocket and an inside pocket.
There are 4 non-functional buttons on each of the cuffs.
The dark blue viscose lining is in very good condition. The sleeves have a cream coloured lining.
The trousers have a buttoned fly, with a strap with 2 metal clasps at the waist. There are buttons on the inside of the waistband to allow a pair of braces to be fitted (braces not supplied).
The trousers are pressed with a permanent crease.
There are 2 front pockets and another at the rear on the right with button fastened flap.
There is no label to indicate what the suit is made from but it is likely to be pure new wool.
Please note that there are some tiny holes in the fabric, mostly at the front of the trousers, please see photos.
The label shows that the suit was made on 6th October 1958 for a C. Wheeler.
