Natural Hemp Rope
Natural Hemp Rope is soft to the touch and is the ideal rope for an indoor bannister / stair rope. As this rope is of a natural fibre we wouldn't recommend using it outdoors as the rope will need to be treated regularly.
Fittings
All of our fittings are manufactured to fit our ropes.
We offer two different types of handrail brackets.
Below is the height of them.
Standard handrail brackets:
24mm - 7.5cm
28mm - 8cm
32mm - 9cm
36mm - 10cm
Low Profile handrail brackets:
24mm - 6.5cm
28mm - 7cm
32mm - 8cm
36mm - 8.5cm
If you would prefer not to drill our handrail brackets directly into the wall, we would recommend using hardwood mounts which are available in our eBay Store.
Measuring
When measuring for your bannister we advise having a bracket every 1 metre. We will secure the first and last bracket behind each knot and leave the other brackets free for you to fit in your desired locations. If your staircase has a corner we would recommend have a fitting 150mm from each side of the corner.
Drape
For a slight drape add 5% to your overall length.
For a larger drape add 10% to your overall length.

All of our bannister ropes are fully customisable. Each bannister rope is manufactured to order & we can make them to any length with any number of fittings you require.
