GRAND DESIGNS  SERIES 12

The most popular property show returns with its 12th series, following intrepid home-builders as they pursue their architectural dreams. Designer and writer Kevin McCloud guides us through the trials and tribulations physical, financial and emotional of those obsessively trying to create a unique place to live, often over many months, even years. This series features a dramatic modernist villa perched atop a crumbling cliff in Snowdonia, a Frank Lloyd Wright-inspired bachelor pad made  out of four shipping containers in the Northern Irish countryside and the UK's first amphibious house on a floodplain of the Thames in Buckinghamshire.

GRAND DESIGNS  SERIES 13

The new series of BAFTA Award-winning Grand Designs is as enthralling and diverse as ever. It opens with one of the largest builds featured so far - a magnificent modernist pavilion in Sussex built by a man obsessed with every detail.

GRAND DESIGNS  SERIES 14

The brand new series of Grand Designs is as enthralling and ambitious as ever. It opens with a gravity defying three story tree house in Gloucestershire - built by two nature lovers determined to live life high up in the branches.

To follow there's a giant house of fun near Horsham, complete with secret doorways and hidden passages. There are twin 21st century farm buildings in Devon and a unique home on the edge of the Lancashire moors inspired by drystone walls. Hidden away in an Essex woodland there's a sleek black bunker-like home designed for an artist, and in rural Pembrokeshire a hand crafted recycled house built for less than thirty thousand pounds. And that's not forgetting the astonishing Cornish home made with beautiful flowing steam bent ash. Kevin McCloud is on hand to witness all the twists and turns experienced by those willing to put everything on the line to build their once in a lifetime homes.

GRAND DESIGNS  SERIES 15

It opens with an ambitious upside¬down, New Zealand-inspired hill house clinging to a steep slope in the Malverns - built by an ex-RAF pilot and a GP who bought the plot on the internet without seeing it first. To follow there’s an innovative Tardis-like, space-saving home squeezed into a tiny corner of East London devised by a young inventor. There’s a unique horseshoe-shaped retro courtyard house on the ancient grounds of an abbey in Hertfordshire and a giant ground-breaking shed-inspired barn for a young family in County Down.

In North London there’s a reconstructed old lodge melded to a giant black cube of a house for two neurologists. On the edge of a beautiful village in the Peak District National Park is a super-eco hidden house buried in a slope and in South London a derelict old dairy is transformed into an ultra-chic family home. And then there’s the swirling snakeskin-roofed super-house nestling in the Blackdown Hills of Devon, inspired by an ammonite shell.

Kevin McCloud is there to share the emotional highs and lows of those willing to put everything on the line to create homes they hope will trans¬form their lives forever.
