Rare brittle starfish and crinoid block from Eype, Dorset, UK.
This block contains one Palaeocoma sp. brittle star fish on each side of the block(there could be more in the block if prepared further), fossilised wood and crinoid fossil with calyx and pinnule preservation. The crinoids likely attached to the wood and cohabitated with the brittle starfish. Very rare to see a small ecosystem preserved in such detail.
