Antique  MZ Austria (c.1909-1912) Mug 1145/1 Marked, Hand painted, Signed by Artist

The MZ Austria marks were used by this porcelain factory since it was in 1884 bought on auction by  Moritz Zdekauer Bank. The company exported products to North and South Americas. In 1909 the firm was bought by C.M. Hutschenreuther and since then was used a MZ Altrolau mark.

Hand-painted/decorated in the USA or Canada as part of the Arts & Crafts movement. The Arts and Crafts movement was an international trend in the decorative and fine arts that began in Britain and flourished in Europe and North America between about 1880 and 1920.There is a number "1912" after artist sign LMF at the mug bottom. It looks like "1912" is the year when this mug has been hand painted.
