What can I use this stuff for?

Can be used to cover wiring and seal vulnerable spots. Easily peelable and provides better sealing than traditional electrical tape.

What is the difference between this and the Liquid Electrical Tape aerosol?:

The tin version comes in Red or Black, and is intended to provide an insulating seal over wires and large, or any largely exposed areas.

The aerosol is similar to the tin, but adds finer control and neater finish, and is excellent for precise jobs including electrical circuit boards and decor.

"For outdoor projects, where damp might be a problem, this stuff is brilliant. Paint it onto all the exposed metal bits and your circuit is covered with a thin flexible, waterproof skin. You can use it instead of heatshrink tubing too, although it doesn't have the same stiffening, protective quality. I use this on my quadcopter to insulate all the power connections, so that it doesn't short on the wet grass in the early morning dew. If you have a carbon fibre frame (which is conductive) this is doubly important. It dries about as fast as copydex glue and doesn't smell. If you need to remove it afterwards, you can just cut it away with a knife. It's actually much easier to remove than heatshrink. This size jar is enough to last for dozens of projects. You'll run out of solder twice before you have used up all the liquid electrical tape."
