REPLACEMENT FOR
ROLAND SH-101
Contrary to other CPUs of this type, the SH-101's works on a lower current,
because the instrument is designed to work on batteries as well as external
power supply. Replacements for this type of CPU are not available. The only
alternative is to modify the electronics, in order to supply sufficient current
to the new CPU.This CPU replacement is supplied as a complete kit, with parts and instructions
for the necessary modification. Please note that it is recommended to have this
done by an experienced technician, who understands the electronic principles
and has not only the necessary experience in soldering, but can also check
the results by measuring, before the instrument is put back into use.
ATTENTION! Because of the higher power demand of this CPU, the SH-101should not be run on batteries anymore. It will drain them too fast.
