0637 Brown & Co. Rock Hall clothing store trade card Philadelphia, PA cane man

Excellent condition. Blank reverse w/ some light brown spots from this card having been mounted in a Victorian album. There is no residual glue.

A very scarce advertising trade card with a strange illustration in how the foreground people, the river, the rock cliff, and the building are integrated. There is an odd unlikeliness about the image.

And to get really picky, I do not know if the middle man and the left standing man are holding canes or what? The lines for each are so thin, and the middle man is holding something much shorter than a walking cane. What am I missing? Something other than a cane? Please tell me.
