Drain Guards manufactured by Murlac are designed to contain sediment and hydrocarbon from surface water prior to entering the drainage system via gully drains.

Suitable for use across a wide range of application from temporary works on construction sites and more long term sediment containment applications such as highways, industrial estate and quarries.

Murlac Drain Guards are manufactured from a high-strength non-woven polypropylene geotextile with an integrated sediment catchment basis and fixing / lifting handles. Over-flow holes are located within the catchment basin to maintain flow is storm conditions. Murlac Drain Guards are available in a range of sizes with custom sizes available, including larger catchment basins.

The geotextile as standard absorbs hydrocarbons whilst trapping sediment, however additional hydrocarbon capacity can be obtained by using the Drain Guard Hydro which has an additional absorbent layer sewn into the catchment basin to further capture hydrocarbons without affecting the filtration properties of the geotextile.
