Pine Screened Inner Cover For 8 Frame Hive (assembled)
- The screened inner cover sits below the
telescoping cover so air can flow through the hive making the hive cooler in
the summer. It props the hive cover up
on two ends so that air can flow through the hive.
- They are used instead of regular inner
covers.
- They also make it possible to do quick
inspection of hive activity without disturbing the hive.
- The screen is tacked down with 3/16” strips of
wood to provide bee space between the top bars and the screen.
- Pine is the most popular wood for building beehive wooden-ware. All of my
wooden-ware is made to exacting specifications in my state-of-the-art workshop.
