original 1895 antique color lithographed map of Asia, printed more
than 125 years ago.
- The map was compiled and
engraved by William & Alexander Keith
Johnston, Edinburgh and has wonderful detail and a highly attractive
appearance, with topography drawn in relief.
- The image area measures 24 x 32 cm [9½" x
12½"], with generous margins on all sides.
- Political boundaries are shown as they existed 20 years
before
the First World War.
- Among the counties, cities, and natural features labeled
on the map are
Siam, Kingdom of Hejaz, Siberia, Persian Gulf, Tibet, Arabian Sea,
the Great Wall, Formosa, Bombay, Delhi, Teheran, Caspian Sea, Damascus,
Jerusalem, Himalaya Mountains, Saigon, Singapore,
the Chinese
Empire, Arabia, and Korea (spelled Corea).
- Condition: It is in excellent condition,
bright and clean, with a vertical center fold, as issued, and no
marks, rips, or tears. Please
