Encoder for Akai Mpc-500 and 1000

This Part will fit:

MPC1000 w/ Metal Style Encoder

MPC500 (all models)

Please Note:

If you have the plastic version of the encoder
on your MPC1000 -  this is not for you 

MPC1000 using the metal encoder will behave differently
when using the older operating systems. 

Please upgrade OS to JJ OS for best results to change encoder types.
You can also update to the newest Akai OS to operate the newer style metal encoders.

On some MPC1000 units you may have to shave a bit of the top of the encoder
so it does not create friction against the casing. This is rare and easy to fix
