Der Original "Puuh-Bär" wurde bereits in den 1920er Jahren ins Leben gerufen. Damals handelte es sich um eine literarische Figur des Autors Alan Alexander Milne, welche als Vorlage für die späteren Disney™ Adaptionen diente. Seither erfreuen Winnie Puuh und seine Freunde Ferkel, Tigger und Co. sich besonders bei Kindern großer Beliebtheit. Die Münze wurde aus einer Unze 99,9% reinem Silber geprägt. Die Auflage ist weltweit auf lediglich 3.000 Exemplare limitiert. This silver coin struck by the New Zealand Mint is the first issue of the new "Winnie the Pooh" series. The colored motive shows the lovable Winnie the Pooh looking out of the window of his house in the Hundred Acre Wood. A partial engraving, which lets the silver of the coin shine through, adds additional charm to this issue. The reverse of the coin shows the portrait of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, the year of issue 2020 and the inscriptions "ELIZABETH II", "NIUE" and "TWO DOLLARS". The original "Pooh Bear" was already created in the 1920s. At that time it was a literary figure by the author Alan Alexander Milne, which later served as a model for the Disney™ adaptations.
