Description: A very nice example of the first printing of the first edition of this lovely Walter Crane illustrated book. Original green cloth-spine pictorial boards. The book is in very attractive condition with some  wear and bumping to the edges (see pictures). Original decorative end papers. Internally clean, bright and free of inscriptions. Binding sound and square. Title page and first page have small chips along the borders (not affecting the illustrations) where the double page has been carelessly opened. A very nice Walter Crane first edition.
