This listing is for one cutting from the Aechmea (Green) Chantinii bromeliad.

Aechmea Chantinii is one of the most desirable species in the Aechmea family, with its bright green leaves contrasting with intense frosted banding.  I just love this plant for the huge *WOW* factor, as it really stands out from all the rest.  Chantinii is often used in landscapes here in South Florida as it can be acclimatized into locations receiving full sun for part of the day. As this plant comes from very tropical habitat, it is more sensitive to cold than most Aechmeas.  This plant can grow to very large sizes, up to 30" tall and 18" wide.  The flowers are a spectacular pinkish orange with yellow tips, and last quite some time.  All plants have yet to produce a flower.  Please see my photos.  And of course, fertilizer will produce a bigger plant!  Full sun produces lighter colored leaves with tinges of yellow & bronze, and shade produces a much darker green plant (as in photos 5 & 6).  Please see my photos for the color variations.  You will be receiving one plant, which is about 1/3 to 1/2 the size of a mature plant.

This auction is for a single plant pup, about 1/4 the size of an adult, similar to the plant shown in the last 3 photos.  Plants will grow to to around size seen in the first 2 photos with the bloom.

Plants will be shipped bare root or no root, without soil.

Yes I do discount for combined shipping!

These will be shipped in a box to ensure the safety of the plant and a quick shipping time!
Orders are shipped early a.m. on Monday and Wednesday.  If you make a purchase Wednesday through Saturday, your shipment will go out the following Monday morning.  If you make a purchase Sunday through Tuesday 5 pm, your order will ship Wednesday morning.

Local pickups are welcomed, but there will be a 10% handling fee on the price of each item.

If you reside in the State of California, you will be fully responsible if the plants are confiscated, rejected, destroyed, or compromised in any way by your county. I will NOT refund your money!

Please consider your current weather conditions before ordering.  I don't provide a heating pad. The recommended temperature is above 45 degrees Fahrenheit.

If damages have occurred during the shipping process, I must receive detailed photos within 24 hours. A wilted plant does NOT mean the plant is damaged.  My healthy bromeliads are very resilient and recover really fast!

I take photos the day I list the plants.  I list for a 30 day period.  The plants may be missing a leaf, may have a burned tip, or may have a new pup at the time of purchase.  These plants change daily!  So let me know if there is a problem, because I want you to be happy!!!
