Stainless Steel provides good corrosion resistance and can generally be used in temperatures up to 700° F (371° C). Safety/Lock Wire is tempered wire used in many industries to secure nuts, bolts, and hardware subject to vibration. It offers greater security than a cotter pin or lock washer, and can also be used for numerous jobs around the home, farm, automotive, factory, marine and aviation.

Can be used to Prevent Screw Pin From working loose from shackles in Marine Use
Very corrosion resistant. Has good strength and, is annealed for ease of use. It is the same stainless steel grade on most boat rails and external fittings.
Also useful to build your own hose clamps with a ClampTite or DIY versions of the ClampTite which could be as simple as a nut and 1/4" bolt bolt and and fender washer with some notches cut with a hacksaw, dremel or grinder. WHAT SIZE WIRE SHOULD I USE?
