Neila Time - songs from Yom Kippur prayers CD

Many people come to synagogues on Yom Kippur, for many of them it is once a year, this reality often causes prayer to be a more anthropological experience than a spiritual experience. A basic recognition of the prayer melodies will connect the audience to the essence of the prayer, enhance the spiritual experience in it, and create a sense of belonging that has the power to influence the course of the entire year.

The "Contact Institute - for Jewish Culture" has been operating in Tel Aviv for several years in order to show that our rich culture has a lot to offer even today. The activity is in the framework of preparation for a bar mitzvah, for married life, activities in holiday centers, "Tzohar" minyanim for the general public during the holidays and more.

After several years, the organization realized that many people come to prayer on Yom Kippur but do not feel comfortable because they do not know the songs, while those who do connect more and experience a special and one-year experience.

That is why this year the Kesher Institute for Jewish Culture picked up the gauntlet and produced the album "Lock Hour" which contains the familiar songs in prayer with the traditional versions accompanied by live instruments such as cello, guitars, viola, bouzouki and more. The disc is at a high musical level (produced by Reuven Hivan at OOV Studios) and with contemporary and touching arrangements, in order for people who come to the prayers to feel more comfortable and experience the prayer more.
