Camille Rodier was one of the founders of the Confrerie des Chevaliers du Tastevin. The 1920 first edition of his maps delineate his own classification of the vineyards of the C�te d'Or, building on the work of his predecessors, Morelot (1831), Lavalle (1855) and Aubertin (1892). He used the same ranking system as Laval, although he made slight changes and added some vineyards Lavalle had neglected. This edition of the maps postdate the creation of the Institut National des Appellations d'Origine (INAO) in 1937. Vineyards classified as 1�res Classe were coloured pink; 2�mes Classe yellow; 3�mes Classe dark green, and other AOC wines light green.
