• The main thrust of this booklet was to explain the setup of the Emmons PP steel. We were diligent in adhering to the way the factory set them up and what you could expect to see and feel when you received your new steel from the factory. The step by step instruction sheet the factory supplied was followed here and explained more in depth and is included. Yeah, there are other ways of doing some things, not necessarily better in most cases, but we stayed as accurate in doing and explaining the factory way. We do things a bit different when setting them up here so as to eliminate your maintenance on them later. What is being combined, as a package deal, is the '83 PP repair booklet & the New DVD's effort 25 years later.

This is being done to give you value for the information that may prove most helpful when used & followed. Any questions beforehand please contact me.  The Booklet & DVD's combined SAVES you 10.00. You can buy a few beers with 10.00. We also think that there is No good reason to ship a steel all over, simply to minimize inherent risks due to damages that can and have occurred. Have had to make repairs on several that were damaged on the way here. Also has happened that a guy was quoted one price and then a large increase in price when the steel got to where it was being worked on (not here just so you know). A $500 increase is a large kick when $1000.00 was the original quote, do the math. (Your bucks, you earn it, you spend it as you see fit.

Amazing seller! A real legend to be offering this valuable information! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️12/2023

Our new effort (on YouTube) is the PP Instant-on bell crank. Just so you know, the thickness at the clip (keeper) is less than the regular width of the PP bell crank so using it where you'd want to add a PP factory bell crank is doable, if you have room for one you'll have room for ours and the beauty is, no crossbar to pull or tap into.

Also think a note here is overdue as to the all too often bad info put out regards the term "bolt-on changer" when applied to a wood neck PP. A wood neck is just that, a wood neck PP. The term "bolt-on" only applies when the changer is on an aluminum neck, one of 3 ways changers have been configured with aluminum necks, in Emmons steel history.

We have to up the overseas postage again 7/1/19 which is outrageous but there is nothing we can do to change it. Please understand and accept it as we must do.

An FYI regards all overseas orders. For some time customs had decided to impose a Covid virus 45 day hold on orders to be sent overseas from the USA and has been doing it for many months. This can impose a wait just to get things that are not a threat to society, certainly, but this is what the customs can do once it leaves here thru the postal service, (possibly an excuse for many to not do their job or whatever, doesn’t matter.) Refunded an order, 7/14/20, to Germany cuz it said “expected to be there no later than Nov 22.” Some deliveries to some countries have been stopped altogether, I am told. This FYI is just to inform you great buyers out there about what we are up against these days. Just thought you should know. Thanks again,

We are offering a New service to help out those of you who may want their steel checked over mechanically. Through your Skype and iPhone, we will be able to view & look over your guitar and advise if there are some corrections and adjustments that would help put it into better shape & playability, but only if you think you may need assistance. If you suspect an issue feel free to contact us and here is a way to do that. Send us your phone # and when best to call because emails are not permitted to be shown on eBay, unless you see one in the pics, eh!?. We are only looking to correct issues, where needed. No guitars to ship if not needed. We have created our share of Push-Pull mechanics via the booklet written in ’83, followed by the DVD’s in 2008, followed by the Hybrid system currently shown on YouTube, in addition to some tools available for use on steels. Not bragging here, But our 45 ++ years experience on steels and mostly on Push-Pull’s may count for something. We can & will do AP's as well. Babe Ruth said, "if you can do it, it ain't bragging".

**An Important note about overseas postage is this. The booklet is just 26 pages plus the front & back covers and there are  a few extra sheets and then the CD or DVD(s), depending what is sent as bonus material all adds up to weight, usually about 12 ozs, and that means postage about 25.00 to Europe and beyond. We have been trying to stay reasonable and under true costs but no more. The dollars we lose out on added to the cost of materials adds up to be too much. In many cases we will refund fees if warranted, ain't out to gouge anyone. Hope this sheds light on the challenge.

I sat down and watched the video all the way through twice since it came in, and I am impressed at the quality of the photography and the content. Excellent job!

I am always eager to learn more about repairing and maintaining the old Emmons originals. I've owned several brands of steels through the years (still do), but nothing comes close to my 1979 D-10 Push/Pull. Since I received the book it has been a valuable tool and reference for me, and has helped me maintain my own guitars. The video is giant leap forward!

Thanks for taking the time to put this video and the book together. I know this is a labor of love and that most labors of love are a pain in the butt. Thanks for sharing your knowledge and doing such a fine job on the video!

Looking forward to the next release!!!

Cheers!
