Original CGB-001 console, upgraded with new backlit IPS V3 LCD screen, shell, and scratch-resistant glass screen lens.
The original GameBoy Color does not have any lighting to the screen, making it difficult to play, even in the best lighting conditions. It also relies on AA batteries. This modification allows you to play your favorite Original GameBoy or GameBoy Color games for hours on a bright, vibrant screen!
IPS V3 screens contain 4x the pixels compared to the original screen with brighter, more vibrant colors and a wider viewing range without screen tearing. They are full size (compared to the reduced size of a TFT mod) with 10 brightness levels and 8 preset color palettes, easily adjusted a touch sensor on the top of the console or with button controls.
The optional 1650mAh Li-Ion battery modification lasts about 10 hours and can be charged using the magnetic charge (included) or USB-C cable.
