Sony DVP-FX950 Overview

The Sony DVP-FX950 9" Portable DVD Player is a perfectly affordable portable widescreen DVD player you can use around the house, on the road and outdoors.

Its screen can flip and swivel 180 degrees so you have plenty of flexibility whenever you set up your FX950. It even has two remote control sensors so you'll be able to take aim at one no matter what your setup. When you're playing outdoors you'll appreciate the FX950's seven-hour battery life. You can watch two full length movies without recharging.

Wherever you use it you'll also appreciate the wide variety of DVD and CD formats it can play. You can even view JPEG pictures and listen to MP3 files from disc and USB memory devices. And you can enjoy your entertainment with a friend without disturbing others with the two built-in headphone jacks. (Headphones sold separately.)

When you take it on the road, don't forget the FX950's included car adapter. With a stack of CDs and DVDs you can keep the kids in the backseat entertained for hours. When you're in more spacious settings you'll find the remote control comes in handy.

A couple of thoughtful touches round out the FX950's conveniences. The FX950 has selectable A/V input/output jacks. Set them to output and you can use you FX950 as a DVD player, enjoying a larger picture on a larger set. Set the jacks to input and you can use your FX950 as a display for a camcorder. And the Disc Resume feature lets you restart a DVD where you left off.
