"I have dirty blonde/light brown hair that I lighten and this toning shampoo did wonders to reduce the brassiness that inevitably develops. I have other purple toning shampoos and conditioners and none of them work as noticeably and immediately as this Pureology Strength Cure Best Blonde Purple Shampoo! The shampoo is an intense deep indigo color and once you lather it into your hair you should let it sit for a few minutes (3 – 5) to give it time to work its magic. If you have very light blonde or platinum hair then you might want to wash it sooner so you don’t end up with lavender tinged hair. You can gauge after 2 – 3 uses how long to leave it in to get the desired effect."

I was so looking forward to getting the full set of this hair products, having tried s different conditioner by pureology, that ran to the shower as soon as it arrived. Little did I know that when they said - colour care, they meant it!
The shampoo is deep purple and didn't lather too well the first time I applied it, but produced tons of foam the second time round. I have long hair and two portions the size of a quarter of your palm was more than enough, which means the bottle though small will last for a long time.
Then it was time to apply the conditioner and it was ....dark blue...5 minutes they said...3 I kept it on.
Let me just stress that I never use silver ( purple) - my hair is super thin, porous and turns properly purple every time I go anywhere near a silver shampoo or conditioner, so this was a risk and s half.
I washed it off and I filled my bathtub with blue slippery foam, a lot of it.
I wasn't too impressed on the smell when was applying the principles ducts, but it turned into a lush scent once washed off.
Now back to the colour - my hair did changes, but not turned purple. Instead all the brassiness was gone and cheap yellow tones were replaced with beige and platinum - so impressed!
Now, if you follow me or read my previous reviews of hair products, you'll know my hair lives on a cocktail of treatments, as otherwise I would have none. This brand of products doesn't require any additional masks, lotions, serums, conditioners, etc. Just use a shampoo, condition and hello healthy gorgeous hair.

Firstly I love this product and have been using it for years. I have fine hair but a lot of it plus it’s curly so it’s just a dry mess. This keeps my hair in check and smooth and shiny. The only thing is the price. It is very expensive. Worth the investment but it’s something I have to save up for."

"This is a brilliant purple shampoo, it's nice and pigmented and you don't need a lot to get a good lather but the real bonus is that it leaves hair feeling very soft, nearly every purple shampoo I've tried leaves hair dry as they tend to be quite harsh, we used this on my sister-in-law's hair and the end result was beautifully toned silky hair.
The offer price is very reasonable too, not sure personally if I would purchase it at full price."

"Hair type: Short, thick, naturally wavy, greying/ageing hair, brunette mixed with a lot of grey, silver and white.

Note: I used this with the matching conditioner.

Since I have so much grey, silver and white in my hair right now, I use blonde shampoos when I want to bring out those colours. What’s interesting about this one is that it makes the grey, silver and white hairs blend into each other, making them look a lot more unified. I think this is because it makes the tone whiter/blonder and helps them look more blended. Since it makes them a little brighter, it also makes them stand out more against my brown hair.

Like many blonde toning shampoos, this is a purple one. It’s a super dark, indigo style purple. The smell of this shampoo is amazing, it’s really fruity and sweet without being overpowering.

In terms of hair quality, my hair was left fluffy and light and nice and soft. I’d definitely use this again."
