Hardback, around 4.75 inches by seven tall, is bound in its publisher's original cloth protecting the spine, tilting all original gilt, and three quarter old marbled boards, decoration in original gilt.

Although interior condition is overall good, because this original letterpress book is old, it does display minor signs of use and age — such as the usual discolouration to old paper, evinced in off-setting to (blank) flyleaf and (blank) free endpaper at rear — consistent with a printed object of this vintage. All viii preliminary pages + 302 pp main text are complete and otherwise correct.
