This glossy black fur cap is very old, probably from the 1920s according to the stories I've heard. I'm guessing the fur is beaver but don't really know for sure. If you do, please let me know and I'll update the listing! I'm also not sure what to call the style...I've seen garrison cap for military versions, trapper's cap and Cossack cap. There are no bare or critter-damaged spots in the fur but you can see the skin at the seams. The bright red lining was hand stitched into the fur and is in very nice condition, with no holes, tears, etc. I had a hard time getting good photos because of the glossy black image. There is no label inside and I don't know what size it is. Laid flat and measuring inside point to point, length is about 11 inches. Spread out, the hat is about 7.5" across at the brim; the head or top part of the fitted lining is 4.5" across.

Please look at the photos and then email me with any questions. I pack carefully and ship same or next business day from Arkansas with free tracking. Satisfaction guaranteed or money cheerfully refunded.
