DEBORAH KERR, GENUINE AND AUTHENTIC SIGNED 10 x 8 with a 7 x 8.5 MOUNT AND PHOTO

Deborah Jane Trimmer CBE30 September 1921 – 16 October 2007, known professionally as Deborah Kerr was a Scottish film, theatre and television actress. Kerr was nominated six times for the Academy Award for Best Actress and holds the record for an actress most nominated in the lead actress category without winning.

During her international film career, she won a Golden Globe Award for her performance as Anna Leonowens in the musical film The Kind and I (1956). As well as The King and I, her films include: An Affair to Remember (1957), The Life and Death of Colonel Blimp (1943), Black Narcissus (1947), From Here to Eternity (1953), Tea and Sympathy (1956), Heaven Knows Mr Allison (1957), Separate Tables (1958), The Innocents (1961), The Sundowners (1960), The Grass is Greener (1960) and The Night of the Iguana (1964).

In 1994, however, having already received honorary awards from the Cannes Film Festival and BAFTA, , Kerr received an Academy Honorary Award with a citation recognising her as "an artist of impeccable grace and beauty, a dedicated actress whose motion picture career has always stood for perfection, discipline and elegance".

This specific photo was taken early in Kerr's career and considered to have been taken between 1942-1944.

I have had the privilege of having this photo for 12 years which was given to me by Peter Robbins and his wife Diane who ran Autographs Ink from Co. Durham during the 80s, 90s and 2000s up until his business ceased in 2006 due to ill health.  He dealt with many avid fans and dealers alike across the globe providing authentic and rare items after attending many events and signings which he attended as a fan not as a dealer.

This and many other signed autographs which are listed in the letter have been in my possession since June 2008.  I have removed personal details off the letter and references to myself for privacy.  All the autographs and photos have been carefully looked after, sealed and kept in the dark and not exposed to light, dust free and in excellent condition.  The image could have very slight imperfections but these would be historical or reportage.

PLEASE FORGIVE THE QUALITY OF MY PICTURE TAKING.  IT IS DIFFICULT WITH CAMERA ANGLES BUT THE QUALITY IS EXCELLENT BUT MY PHOTO TAKING ISN’T!!
