SHIPPING FORECAST MAP ILLUSTRATION

The Shipping Forecast is quite possibly the most British thing ever invented!
Since the 1920's, the Shipping Forecast broadcasted on Radio 4, has been a punctual reminder of Britain’s island status.
The names derive from sandbanks (e.g. Dogger, Bailey), estuaries (Forth, Thames, Shannon), islands or islets (Wight, Rockall, Utsire), towns (Dover, Plymouth), or other physical characteristics (e.g. Malin Head, Ireland’s northernmost point).

I have produced these maps in three different colours :-

'Sand'
'Green'
'Dark Green'
(I have produced a separate purchase page for each colour)

The artwork has been professionally reproduced and printed onto premium 200 gsm satin photographic poster paper using quality archival pigment inks to ensure vivid and rich coloured prints. Using high quality inks mean they are more resistant to fading, however be careful hanging your print in direct sunlight. Actual colours may vary slightly as each monitor displays colours differently.

Currently available in the following sizes:

Paper size: A4 (210 x 297mm).
Paper size: A3 (297 x 420mm).
Paper size: A2 (420 x 594mm).

These prints have been designed to fit standard A4, A3 and A2 frames.

Please note: Frame and mount NOT included. Sold as print only.

The posters are rolled in a protective coating and then shipped in a rigid cardboard tube which guarantees its perfect condition.
