Observatory by David Cook

This a sculpture that I created in 2016 for the Patrington Sculpture Trail 2016. That opened on June 20th of that year. After the sculpture trail closed in was exhibited in various local exhibitions, including the 2016 "Humber To The Wash Open Exhibition" held at the Ropewalk, Barton on Humber.

The sculpture is a mixture of steel and painted aluminium. The aluminium octagonal tapered pedestal was originally a radar mounting on the wheelhouse of a Humber dredger.

Dimensions: 1.5m(59") high. Wooden base 600x480mm.

Weight: Rather awkward to weigh - I can pick it up without too much trouble.

The sculptures that I put into the sculpture trails were rawl- bolted onto concrete bases for safety and security reasons. That is probably the best way to display the sculpture out doors. It was last displayed indoors, hence the strapped mahogany base.

The photographs are of the sculpture for sale. They are in chronological order starting with Patrington in 2016 and ending in my front room on 28/9/20.

Much of my sculpture is abstract. Until recently I have had 6 sculptures on show in west Hull as part of Hull City of Culture. I currently have 2 large sculptures in the sculpture garden of The Ropewalk in Barton-on-Humber.

P&P: Collection only, by arrangement from Hull, Barton upon Humber or York.

I wish to be paid by cash on collection.
