A NOS W/O BOX TOY HIT-MISS ENGINE is now at this time up for your consideration. This is ERTL's 1:6 scale model of John Deere's model E Hit-Miss Engine with the wrong fly wheel handle position. Even with NO BOX this rare specimen remains in near MINT condition out of a storage situation enclosed in a glass showcase. A RARE John Deere Model E Wrong Way Flywheel Hit Miss 1990 ERTL MISTAKE ENGINE. (see photos #2, #3 ) PLEASE VIEW ALL 11 PHOTOS as they constitute an integral part of this listing's description. This is one of the very first models that was produced by ERTL of this engine and the handle on the flywheel was CAST backwards. The mistake was not noticed until after a VERY LIMITED NUMBER of the models were shipped. The handle direction was corrected BEFORE production was continued to make the mistake ones highly collectible.
