Beautifully designed and printed, with 73 full-page plates of his hypnotic tableaus of interiors, landscapes, and cityscapes - uniquely silent and somber painting, displaying a mastery of line and light. Each plate is fully described in the rear, along with an extensive biography. An essential book on Hammershoi - my highest recommendation. Long out of print and rare. In excellent condition.
