Here is a great little offer for those enthusiasts of the Custom Car & Hot Rod scene.

Those interested parties who were teenagers (or older) in the 1970's would experience the Custom Car movement when it was at the height of its formative years.

Back then the humble 1950's Sit up & Beg Ford Pop just lent itself to customisation which invariably involved jacking up the rear, fitting a Jaguar back axle mated to an auto box and wide wolfrace alloy wheels. Other older Fords were also ripe for the treatment including Mk3 Cortinas, Mk1 Escorts, Zephyrs etc. Plenty of other non-Ford cars were also modified and the book we include with our offer here shows in full colour the diversification of models used and styles created.

The ultimate for any customiser was to get their vehicle featured in one of the many UK custom car shows of the time. The book " Street Rod & Custom Showtime" by Rodger Attaway is included in this offer. It really is a magnificent reminder of those indoor UK custom shows from during the 60's to the early 80's.
A substantial Hardback book measuring 12" x 8.5" it has over 300 pages & countless colour photos. Besides the front & back cover I have scanned a couple of pages so you can get a flavour of their content. That kind of content is pretty consistent through the book. Plenty of text too, not just pictures.

Many of us customizers of the 1970's are now approaching 60 or older and remember fondly that period and how that magical time gave way to growing up, family life and reluctantly a more boring, practical drive.

In fact it seemed a distant memory by the time we reached the millennium and so the arrival of Chrysler's PT cruiser was greeted by many of us with a wry smile. It wasn't quite the 70's but it was a spacious practical street machine with a nod to previous eras.

Consequently the second part of our offer is a large 1:18 scale model of a Chrysler PT Cruiser made by top quality model maker - AutoArt. And to make it even more relevant to our Custom theme, this is the Panel Cruiser version of the Chrysler PT - essentially a van version of which the real vehicle was never available here. Customising vans was immensely popular in the UK as you will see from the book included in this offer.

The AutoArt model features opening doors, bonnet, rear hatch. It also features steering from the steering wheel & detailed interior. Supplied in Mint Unopened box. There is a choice of colour : Metallic Red or Metallic Blue. If you don't express a preference you will be sent our choice. Delivery is quite high @ 8.95 but it is down to the weight both of the book & model. To compensate a little we will try and give you 48 hour delivery from receipt of your order.

NB If you happen to own a 70's street machine or even a PT Cruiser you may wish to check out our offer for Pink Furry Seat covers ☺
