Hidden Lives by David Cook

This a sculpture that I created in 2015 for the Patrington Sculpture Trail 2015. It was subsequently exhibited in various local exhibitions, including the 2015 PoP Winter Exhibition.

The sculpture is a mixture of  aluminium, painted mild steel and a small amount of stainless steel. The paint used on the steel is Hammerite Special Metal Primer which is water based and very durable. The aluminium pieces involved in the sculpture come from an external bridge telegraph on a Humber dredger that had had a bridge fire.

Dimensions: 1.4m(55") high x 13". Note that it is being sold without a wooden base.

Weight: Approximately 30kg - I have handled it and transported it to exhibitions in my small van without difficulty.

The sculptures that I put into the sculpture trails were rawl- bolted onto concrete bases for safety and security reasons.

The photographs are of the sculpture for sale. They are in chronological order starting with Patrington in 2015 and ending in my front room on 19/12/20.

Much of my sculpture is abstract. Until recently I have had 6 sculptures on show in west Hull as part of Hull City of Culture. I currently have 2 large sculptures in the sculpture garden of The Ropewalk in Barton-on-Humber.

P&P: Collection only, by arrangement from Hull, Barton upon Humber or York.

Payment preferable by cash on collection.
