This beautiful and very handy accessory attachment to Schoeps Colette Series microphones, such as the popular supercardioid CMC 641, inserts between the mic capsule and the pre-amplifier.

It performs two tasks: (1) prevents the effect of low-frequency infrasonic disturbances from being passed onto any succeeding device in the signal chain, greatly reducing unwanted wind noise or low frequency rumble from handling (2) offsets the proximity effect and improves speech intelligibility in reverberant rooms by means of an additional 6 dB/oct rolloff. By turning the recessed thumbwheel, the user can vary the frequency at which this begins to have an effect, and thus tailor the low-frequency response as needed. On the CUT 1, using the wheel, the turnover frequency can be continuously varied between 70 Hz and 600 Hz.

This unit is in great condition, looks beautiful, and has been pulled from a working microphone fully vetted in the field. It is of the more expensive and rare nickel-plated variety - see pictures.
