Chevrolet Bel Air Convertible – Purple & White
Introduced in 1950, the Chevrolet Bel Air was offered only as a 2-door hardtop. The Bel Air was extended to the two and four door sedan and convertible in 1953. The styling was revamped for 1955 along with the introduction of Chevrolet’s first modern overhead valve V-8 engine. The combination of fresh styling along with a V-8 engine, the Bel Air was aptly billed as the “Hot One” in the company’s advertising campaign. The 1956 Bel Air got an updated grill that stretched across the entire front end, stainless steel trim that ran down the entire side, and teardrop fender openings that gave the car a sleeker look.
Offered in 1:18 scale is the 1956 Chevrolet Bel Air convertible by Yat Ming in Purple (Dusk Plum) and White (India Ivory) with matching interior colors.
It is a lot of model that measures about 10-¾ inches bumper to bumper. It is new in its original box with all shipping straps in place. The box may have some shelf wear.
Note: Yat Ming exited the die cast model car business effective June 2013.
