Each of these letterpress letters is 1" tall and almost an inch front to back. The letter itself is 3/4" tall. These are heavy little guys.
Futura was designed by Paul Renner in 1927. The design is based on the simple geometries that became representative of the Bauhaus style. Renner rejected the font styles of the past, the grotesques, their narrowness and lack of a consistent system to their weights and shape forms. The design of Futura helped usher in a new Modern age and was emblematic of the era.

These are used and have wear, dings, ink from the printing process, some dirt, etc. Patina! Some may have ink on them....red or black. You can take a piece of fine sandpaper and lightly scuff it off to reveal a shiny letter.
You can get very creative with these. Use them as is, paint around the letter, use them as stamps, light them up like I did with the laser photo, etc. You're limited only by your imagination!
(I would not suggest these for small children due to the weight, sharpness of corners, and dirt/ink/metals, etc.)
