Sweet gum balls, also known as witch's balls or witch's burrs, are grown naturally in Florida on our property.  

These naturally dried Florida Sweet Gum Balls (aka Witch’s Burrs, aka Sweet Gum Seed Pods) are wonderful for potpourri making and adding interest and texture to floral arrangements, terrariums, and succulent plantings. They are also the perfect medium for an endless list of craft projects such as resin ink pen blanks, garland, wreaths, ornaments, natural wedding decor, Fall and Christmas decorations and so much more. 

Sweet gum balls can also be quite useful in the garden. Lay the seed pods around young plants to deter snails and slugs who would rather not tangle with them. You can also put them around plants that you also want to protect from rabbits. Use them as mulch or add them to your compost pile. They can be used in the bottom of planters.
