For sale is a vinyl record by The Four Seasons titled "The 4 Seasons Gold Vault Of Hits", originally released in 1965 by Philips Records, a division of Mercury Records. I bought this record used, professionally cleaned it on my VPI HW-17 machine and immediately put the album into an archival inner sleeve. I always put my new records directly into a protective inner sleeve(s), thus preserving the integrity of the vinyl and any original inner sleeve(s) that may have come with the release. There is no original inner sleeve with this listing. Inside the dead wax, between the last tracks and the labels is etched the matrix numbers M-4/M-2, along with an etched "MR", indicating that early stampers were used to make this record at Mercury Record Manufacturing Company's pressing plant, located in Richmond, Indiana. These are hallmarks of state-of-the-art engineering, sought after by collectors and music lovers for theit superior sound qualities. The vinyl is visually graded as Excellent because of some superficial sleeve marks, but with surfaces that are shiny and bright, without surface scratches, scuffs, smudges or spindle marks on the labels. I'm play grading this record between Excellent and Near Mint Minus, with occasional low level surface noise and a pop on Side One, but without any skips or lock-ups from start to finish. The cover is graded as Good Plus because of an eight inch seam split starting on the lower right hand corner, along with corner blunts, shelf rubs and faint ring wear. The spine has damage to the corners with color loss. This is still one of the best copies of this very rare record that I have ever heard, and you would be hard pressed to find an original pressing in this condition. This would make a great addition to a anyone's collection. I have other Pop albums, as well as records of all different genres, listed in my Ebay store. Please take a look. They're predominately Near Mint. Thank you for viewing my listing.
I've been collecting records for about 50 years now and have always cleaned them and put them away carefully in plastic inner sleeves. Over the years I've used Dust Bugs, Disc Washers and have finally invested in a professional VPI record cleaning machine. Now that I'm retiring, I'm selling my very esoteric collection. I'm not a professional grader of records, but will use record guides, as well as my personal experiences as a basis of my grading all records. Since grading is subjective, I will be conservative. I offer discounts for multiple sales. Photos are of the actual item for sale, not a stock photo. Please review all descriptions and photos because I do not accept returns. Thank you for looking!
