The title of this charming 1979 Lou De Paolis print is "Black Lab Puppy".  This print is not numbered but was originally signed by the artist, Lou De Paolis, in pencil.  Lou De Paolis (1923 - 2011) was an American artist from Syracuse, New York.  He is considered to be one of the finest wildlife and sporting dog artists in the United States, with a career that spanned over 30 years and pieces that are found in art collections worldwide.  In his later years, he concentrated on sporting art; deer, pheasants, ducks and retrieving dogs in their natural environments.

This fantastic print was part of an estate.  It features a cute black Labrador Retriever puppy standing by the water, watching a falling feather.  The detail and realism are truly exceptional and it is clear as to why De Paolis was such a popular artist.  The piece has been tastefully custom framed with an outer ivory mat, inset with a coffee-colored narrow mat.  It is framed with a lighter color solid wood (looks like maple?) finished with a natural stain.  It measures about 20 3/4 inches tall and is 17.5 inches wide (framed), a nice medium-large size.

The print is in very good condition - no stains, spots, holes or tears. The matting is in great condition with no spots, holes, cracks or tears. The frame has some minor scuffing and small dings, consistent with age and normal wear, but is also in good condition.  There is a piece of cardboard secured by heavy black tape covering the back of the print. The black tape is starting to come loose on the corners (mainly because it is old), however, the print is very secure in the frame. The glass is in good condition - no chips or cracks.  The hanging bracket is in place and securely and safely supports the picture. See photos for more details.

Every effort will be made to minimize the environmental impact of packing and shipping each item.
