The backlit IPS screen has a wide viewing angle and is with the same size display as the original LCD. Contrast wheel now adjusts brightness and choose from 36 built-in retro color combinations using a touch sensor. Hold the touch sensor for 3 seconds and switch to switch to retro pixel mode, which perfectly mimics the spacing between the pixels in early LCDs.
Each console includes a regulator upgrade to provide stable power for the backlit screen and handle the power demand of a flash cartridge like an EverDrive or EZFlash. The two AAA rechargeable batteries provide approximately 4 hours of play time.
The optional 1500mAh lithium battery mod provides approximately 6 hours of play time at normal brightness with a genuine game cartridge. Use the included magnetic USB charge cable or USB-C charger.
